But between the two Hondas, the DC/DB Integra is a more sculptural design IMO.
And call me a skeptic, but wouldn't a Quaife LSD be just as effective as Honda's torque sensing clutch-type diff?

 

Depends. For the kind of driving I like (Lots of twisty corners), the Quaife worm gear heilical LSD is the better choise...

It all depends on where you race from, and the driver. I have a 97 black base model prelude. The prelude low end is a good bit better, but, the integra's high end compensates for it. The prelude will get the gsr up front but the gsr's 3rd gear is crazy. It ususally just depends on the driver. If one gets a bad start the other one will win. If both get good starts, i can't really tell you which one will win. The two cars are very similar.

The gsr is lighter than the prelude but the prelude has a more powerfull engine.

From my experience racing them, I have won many times, and lost many times. It mainly just depends on how well your car is running when you race.

Oh and I race my friends at the track, not on the street.

sounds weird to me since when Dave posted the 0-60 times the GSR is faster. from the stats he posted it would appear to me that it's vice-versa: the Lude has better top end and the GSR has better low end.

 

The Prelude has larger displacement, so it makes sense that it has better low end torque than the GSR. The only reason the huge displacement of the H22 doesn't beat the GSR is because of the weight. The power to weight ratios are pretty even on both cars, so neither really has much of an advantage.
