purge your clutch? you mean bleed your clutch? assuming you have hydrolic clutch.

it's simple and as easy as bleeding your brakes. buy new brake fluid, open reservoir, top off and then go open the bleed valve and pump the clutch pedal. have a 2nd person pour in fluid in the reservoir so it doesn't go dry. stop bleeding when fresh fluid is coming out of the bleed nipple.

Be very careful, and I reccomend taking the long route and keeping the clutch resevoir cap on between fills of the resevoir. It takes longer, but you wont drain your resevoir that way, which will introduce new bubbles to the hydraulic system.

It takes longer, but it's helpful to do it this way when the entire resevoir is about 2 fluid ounces

yea, sounds like you have air where it's not supposed to be. go ahead and check your clutch reservoir for fluid level. and if you decide to bleed it, a second hand would be very helpful. make sure to watch the fluid for any air bubbles as you bleed the system. when my clutch fluid gets low, my clutch pedal gets kinda funky in the way that when the clutch engages, the pedal isnt even a half an inch off the floor, so i have to repeatedly keep an eye on that.
