I was thinking about installing an LSD into my 95 integra gsr. i dont know what brands are good or bad, i'm looking at an ebay auction, it looks like a decent deal, Item link.... , its an OBX. i have no knowledge of this brand or any others, what do you recommend? any suggestions? anyone done it?, did it increase performance?

OBX is barely capable of making a shift knob. :a:
OBX must be slapping their name on someone else's product.
Whose? I have no idea.

I'd recommend the Quaife line of LSDs. Quaife focuses entirely on transmission and drivetrain products and I've never read a word of criticism for any of their products.

I agree on the quaife also, but i have actually hear really good things about the obx lsd. Now i would never buy anything from obx....but i may try their lsd out. Worst case, it's not too good, and it didnt cost me that much.

New, I think that Quaife's and Kaaz's are around a $1000. Spoon, ATS and Cusco are some other brands. Don't forget the option of a JDM OEM LSD from a CTR or ITR for around $385 used. Then you have to factor in the cost of installation of it.

Some like Quaife because of their lifetime warranty. My boyfriend had a Kaaz LSD in his GS-R, then switched over to a Quaife. He liked the Kaaz better and will be selling his Quaife at some point. I have an OEM ITR LSD installed in my GS-R sedan and like it just fine.

Exactly. But some people are guinea pigging the OBX offering right now. If the manufacturer just went to the same factory in china as the "brand name" offering, then... well, it's half the price...

Quaiffe is a gear type LSD, KAAZ is a clutch type. OEM is a vicuous coupling (??? no maybe it is a gear type.)

On the OEM LSD's the CTR one is viscous and the ITR one is helical.

Quaife is good. i heard that they cant handle a lot of power tho so if your going that route (which i dont think you are) then dont get it

for a low power application is there anything wrong with phanton grip? i know its not a "real" lsd but serves the function.... and its an affordable option, too.
