Default Street racing??

Sorry, guys- I'm new to this site and I had 5 replies to a post I made 4 days ago; each reply had at least one point where the user talked down on street racing like it was some unspeakable thing- I was just wondering why there's such a hatred on the subject. It makes more sense to do it as much as you want for free on the road rather than spending ten bucks to go for two hours. I just don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth in my car if I don't race occasionally outside of the track (unless, of course, I had a show car- which I don't). Someone please explain this ordeal to me. Thanks

well... a) talking about street racing on a board has legal implications... if you organized a race on here and someone got hurt, the board may have legal problems
b) street racing is stupid and if you brag/talk about it you are an idiot. i know people that have died becuase of street racing, and i know even more people who have been hospitalized, or jailed. c) there is no respect in talking about street racing, either go to a track or do your thing, but do it instead of talking about it on a board

Understood- just try to see it from a newcomer's point of view: I wasn't aware of the dislikes toward it. I know now, though and it's cool- I'll keep it to myself.

sounds good... at least you are admitting that it may not have been an excelent idea talking about it. i'm not going to say that it doesn't happen, but its just a tabu topic... most people would rather take it to a track where the conditions are safe

You know it is illegal and extremely dangerous, so why would you even bring up the subject on a public board?

:wtf:
This is the most idiotic thread that I've ever read. You're better off hanging yourself then putting people in harms way.

here is a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Champaign-Urbana, IL

when you are street racing even if you don't hurt anyone, if you lose control or have a mechanical failure...this is what happens...

It was also in the terms of service when you signed up, and if you didn't read that, then it's your fault.

Besides, streetracers make it so _I_ get random shit from cops. _I_ don't like being punished for _OTHER_ people's stupid actions, and this I'm strongly against it.

A simple response with no criticism would be nice seeing as how i wasn't aware of this- yes it's my fault that I didn't completely read the terms but, ask yourself, how many times have u just skipped that and clicked "Submit" (and be honest). Anyway, thanks fir the response.

id rather spend 10 bucks for two hours of drag racing on a strip legally then have to pay hundreds or even thousands on a collision or ticket or even worse, a death on the streets.
