Hi All,
I currently have the 'AEM-cai' on my 'ITR,' but was just wondering what is the loudest induction set up? It sounds good from 4k rpm and in the V-TEC, but has no low-down throaty roar at all. Would a shorter intake system sound alot deeper? I realise that any minor power gains would be lost by not going with a cold air intake, but wondered what sounds loudest? I would like head-turning induction roar if possible! - Thanx

Emissions is an issue when trying to get through the annual MOT! I've only had problems before when my old Civic used to leak through the join in where my de-cat/cat pipe went in, which resulted in it failing the emissions test. But exhaust sealant sorted that out. I also re-welded all the joins in the full exhaust system to be sure they had no leaks.
What were you thinking about with the emissions on this one?

 

I have a 'Tanabe Ultra Medalion' exhaust on order at present, which is being shipped over from the 'US'. That should help liven things up a little. But I am just looking for more of the intake roar. I've heard otherwise standard cars with really loud induction notes from bolt-on induction kits (ie, a 'Suzuki Baleno' 1.6!?!) I know every cars different, I was just expecting more roar from the 'AEM cai.'
