Default Deciding which intake to get

I just bought a Skunk2 intake manifold for my 96 GSR and got it installed at Hookups. The mechanic told me that I need to get a new type r intake for my car because my AEM CAI would not fit anymore. If this is true what intake should I get for a type r? Also is a short ram better or a CAI? Thanks for the help.

An SRI with a Skunk2 manifold in a GS-R will give you superior gains over a CAI.

the manifold on the gsr is different from the manifold of other teg models cuz i think it fits in a funny way with the throttle body.

94-2000 has the same manifold for model specific integras

right yea i kno, i have a gs-r, and the stock manifold dips down behind the engine. on type r's, the manifold is more or less level with the engine, and i forget what itz like on ls's. but if u buy an aftermarket manifold that's made specifically for a gs-r, type-r, or ls, shouldnt it be shaped the same as a stock manifold for those cars?

the skunk2 manifold was modeled after the itr manifold. so it's basically the same thing as an itr i/m with a flange that fits the gsr head. hence the tb being in the same position as if it were an itr engine.
