Did you search? I haven't been on this site in about a year, but even back then there was about 300 threads about headers, oh and you only have one header incase you weren't sure.

Searching > you.

If I got a dime everytime this topic was covered, I'd be a millionaire.

not from a header like a dc or greddy. but from a hytech or smsp or other high end header, that would be possible.

I don't understand why u guys claim that a 4-2-1 has better low end and mid than a 4-1 header. What's the logic? I know I was never good in physics...but help me understand plz. Isn't all header created equal if they're the same in design? Just 2.5" tubing.

Did you convert to a manual trans yet?

Like I've said in almost every single thread you've made about bolt-ons...don't bother with them if you've got an auto transmission.:a:

Here's what came out of the article on the 4-2-1 vs 4-1:
CONCLUSION ABOUT HEADER DESIGN

So the old adage that 4-1 = more peak hp with a loss in midrange torque and 4-2-1 = more midrange torque with less peak hp is an obsolete idea.

Newer hybrid headers of the 21st century are a fusion of the old 4-1's extra length with the 4-2-1 layout, have stepped diameters, and have large diameter collectors. So you have low end peak torque with enough breathing capacity to support more peak gains (the best of both worlds).
