Filter on a stick ebay special. Why spend $200+ on an intake that does the same thing as the cheap ones? The V2 is all hype.

I just ordered the Comptech short ram. I got an awsome deal on the short ram and I may make a homemade icebox from the DIY in this forum. I've heard good things about all Comptech's stuff.

Listen to Shmoo. Just get a cheap short ram pipe, and put a K&N on it. Cheap and effective. CAI's make it easy to hydrolock your engine. Or if you must have cold air, there's a DIY icebox on here somewhere...

EDIT: here it is!!

yeah, it's mainly the filter and the airflow. most ebay designs are almost exactly like the AEM CAI. any reason why you want an CAI over a SRI, or a comptech icebox? Is rain a big issue? .. i mean if it really does make a difference.. you're only getting an extra maybe 1 or 2 hp.. which isnt really much once you think about it. there are more important things such as suspension or whatnot.

Of all things, the V2 is biggest hype of all. Cheap-o intake will do just as much on a mildy modded car.

just build 1 out of pvc or thin sheet metal or get the cheap 1 and put a k&n, the 1 we built for my sisters car sounds so much better than the one she spent 175 on bah brand name stupid

AEM V2 = Not worth it.

Bolt-ons on an AT Integra (short of a turbo) = Not worth it.

Sorry to be blunt, but it had to be said. h:
