Default LS factory alarm

My buddy just got a 95 or 97 ls, i am not sure what he told me, but it has the factory alarm, did the factory alarm have an ignition cut, so if it is going off, you can not start it. He said he cut the wires on it or something, but now he cant start the car. Everytime he put a jump pack on the car, to start it, the alarm would go off, that is why he disabled the alarm.

Most alarms have the ignition running through their box. So removing the alarm means more than just disconnecting the box.

There should be a little switch on the drivers left side kick panel. Move the switch to the upper position, turn the key to the "on" position, and then move the switch to the lower position. This should disable the kill switch and the alarm and allow the car to start. I had to figure this out when I disconnected my battery and my alarm and kill switch wouldn't allow me to start the car. I don't have keyless entry nor did I know I had an alarm, so I had to fiddle with that until the car started. Hope that helps.
