Default unpredicatbale failure to start

Hi, everyone.

I have searched the treads about the starting problems. I don't have the heat/cold problem where the relays are to blame. I have the one where the car is fine most of the time, but then sometimes won't start and just gives a clicking sound both at the key and if I pump the clutch. If I coast and pop the clutch, it starts fine, but I am worried that is hard on my car -- I know it is hard on me when I have to push my car in the rain!

Anyway, I already got my starter rebuilt and it seems to happen less frequently, but it still does. And since the starter seemed to be the problem according to the treads I read, I'm not sure what else to try.

I have a 1990 GTS, umm I don't know much about cars, but if I need to give you more info. let me know and I will try. It has been a great car for me--my first non-American, and I wonder now what took me so long. I want to take good care of it and keep it forever, but I don't have a lot of $$. I don't mind paying someone to fix it, I just don't want to be another girl who gets ripped off with a lot of "diagnostics" that don't get results, ya know?

Thanks, all, for any help you can offer. I have enjoyed reading through the site!

A bad fuel relay could cause irratic starting.
