Default I got new seats!

I recently traded one of my co-workers my 96 cloth seats for his 01 leather seats and $300. I got the whole set, so I thought it was a hell of deal considering they go on ebay for around $500 just for the driver/passenger seat. I guess he wanted the money and trade so he can buy "internals". Whatever. I got me some nice leather, so I don't really care too much.

Anyways, I have a problem with putting the rear seats in. It seems as though the hooks that hold the front of the cushions down were moved to a different location with the newer models, so the seats can be lifted up in the front since there is nothing holding them down. Is there some way that I can secure then so that they cannot be lifted up and fit like my old ones did?

I will post pics when I get back from the Long Beach Grand Prix tomorrow. h:

I thought about that but on my car, the deck slants down toward the edges where the hooks of the new seats are, so the hooks won't reach and if they did, they would take the seats down with them. I don't feel comfortable drilling or cutting near there considering the gas tank is in very close proximity.

You may have to mod the seats to get them in. Can you remove the hooks from the seat? I'm looking at the 96 FSM and you really need those front clips obviously. Do you think it would be possible to move them on the actualy seat?

I checked to see if I could remove the clips but they look like they are incorporated into the cushions and won't come off without ripping the whole cushion to pieces. I don't know what I think about the velcro idea. Sounds pretty ghetto to me, but if it comes down to it, that is probably what I will have to do.

I haven't gotten the rails yet. I am not stressing too much since the seats that needed the rails are now in the other dude's car. I told him that I would give him the rails as soon as I got them.
