Hi guys.

I started my car today for the first time in about 4 days, and my car's 'check engine light' went on, and I'm not sure what to do. And the strange thing is, the whole car (I mean the body panels too) rattled for like 5 seconds after I started my car, then the check engine light came on.

I did read the code and it was 73 and 74, which is basically cylinder 3,4 misfiring from what I understand.

The car is a 1997 Integra LS with 80,000miles, and it's bone stock. I drove around the car today (for about 35 miles) and noticed a pretty big decrease in gas mileage as well.

I changed the spark plugs and wires at 62,000 miles which is pretty recent, so I don't know what to do from here.

I know you guys are integra experts so please help me out!!

 

Possible Causes:

Fuel Injector clogging, fuel leakage, air leakage
Fuel Injector circuit open or shorted
Spark plug carbon deposits, fouling, malfunction
Ignition wires open, leaking
Distributor malfunction
Compression low
Valve clearance out of spec

We can most likely rule out the ignition wires, seeing that you replaced them.
