Should I run Synthetic Oil?
I did a search already, seems like Mobil 1 is a good brand overall for the integra. I'm not sure if I should use synthetic though.
My car has 80000 miles and this is my first oil change since I bought her. Would it be a good idea to start using synthetic oil or just whatever the factory oil is?
Thanks!

I have to change my oil every 3k miles regardless, so I save about $14 every oil change by using regular oil. Unless you really want to and can afford it, conventional oil will do just fine.

My DC4 has used Castrol GTX full synthetic and Hastings™ brand (or Wix™) oil filters since the first oil change.
If you can afford to run synthetic, I'd recommend it. But it is equally important to do routine oil changes and use a quality oil filter.
That means staying as far away from FRAM as possible.
Their oil filters are absolute shit, IMO.

Hastings, Wix, Purolator, Mobil 1... all of these have performed well in testing.
I had an article lying around from a Prelude Owner's Forum in Texas, where they break down the results quite nicely.. I'll see if I can find the link tonight. h:

Here's the link directly to Gerhard Bartsch's article at NTPOG.
I'll also add this link to the Integra FAQ.

Hey guys. Thanks. I basically have the same question as minh about going from regular to synthetic. LOL about the Fram I saw that stuff at like crappy auto stores...I ended up gettin Castrol Syntec 10W30 and went to the stealership to get the filter.
