Default '98-'01 OEM Fog Light Install

Anyone install OEM fogs on their teg for '98-'01? I have a set and want to install them. Just wondering how difficult they are to install.

I don't know about installation (sorry) but where did you get them and how much were they?

I got them through the stealership. It costs about $200 - $220. Each dealership seems to have different prices.

Actually here's a link (click the picture below) to Ebay from a dealership selling for $200 and shipping only $8 which is good!

I've got them on my '99 GS. They weren't an easy install, but it wasn't too difficult, just time consuming.

You'll have to remove the nose (front bumper cover), run a couple of different wiring harnesses (both under the hood and inside the car), cut part of the grill to mount the lights, then plug everything in. You'll also have to remove the steering column cover to gain access to the base of the turn signal/headlight control... part of the foglight wiring harness plugs into the connector that controls your headlights.

Plan to spend quite a few hours on it. If you've never removed your front end (nose/bumper cover/whatever it's called), be prepared to add another hour or so to the project. It's not tough once you've done it, but the first time is a bit scary. I'd suggest enlisting the help of a friend.

Good luck,

JD

Removing the front end is easy. Well at least for my car it is. I don't have those rubber things under my car.

I emailed www.acuraautomotiveparts.org for you to see if they had the instructions, but the didn't reply. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com has accessory install instructions copied from the Helms manual so that's why I thought they might have them. I'll do some more looking around. The 94 teg Helms I have did not list anything about fog install/removal.

I have the 98-01 foglights install instructions in a PDF file on my computer.

http://theterritory.servebeer.com/OEM_Foglights

Click the link, in the resulting file directory right click on the PDF file (int_fogs_01.pdf) and select Save As...

If for some reason you cannot view PDF's, each page of the PDF has been screen captures and saved as a GIF file. These are also in the same directory linked above.
