This is the first time this has happend to me. When i try to start the car i can hear the solenoid clicking, but the starter does nothing at all. Today i tried jumping the car and still nothing. Is it possible that this is the ignition switch. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem.

could be the starter, Take it off and bring it to autozone and they will check it for free

 

Or leave the starter on and remove the small plug and jump a wire from the bigger plug to the smaller one and see if maybe it's not the starter.
