I heated a 10mm wrench and bent it. Worked perfect for me

um yeah if ur adjusting ur valves u need a screwdriver and a ratchet. if you are looking at specialty tools to adjust your valves, you probably shouldn't be adjusting them.

you forgot to mention feeler gauges, smart ass.

its also about convenience and efficiency, so you can challenge every true mechanic who has a valve adjustment tool, or any other "specialty" tool you speak of to see whats easier and faster.

Yeah I dont understand why its bad to have a valve adjustment tool. Its WAY easier and much more convenient. I dont think that "doing things the right way" means making things more difficut.

I use a Blue Point/Snap-On tool...works awesome. And yes, you also need angled feeler gauges.
