Default hard to get 95 turbo teggy smogged? nor cal

i have a 95 teggy. ive read all about the greddy turbo, which is for 96-99s. i have found that i can run a seperate fuel management system with it and still bolt it onto my car. the problem is that id have to get the car smogged every 2 years and the carb eo number is for 96-99 gsrs. obviously mine isnt the right year so id instantly fail the visual inspection. u guys know how hard it is to get a car like this smogged? i dont want to rip the turbo out every two years and dont want to have problem of smog and what i have found, there is no turbo i can use on my car that is smog legal. bah. help! any personal experiences?

A regular smog tech will see the carb number and that should be good enough. A referree from the BAR will look the number up in a book and make sure it is the one for your car. Know this too, just cause it has a carb number it won't smell any sweeter on the sniffer. If it is not factory tuned (cars manufactuered w/turbos) it's gonna be a challenge. Smog laws in Cali are strict and they're getting worse.
