Default Maintenance Recs

My 99 GSR just went over 80,000 miles.
Other than oil changes, I haven't really done anything else in terms of routine maintenance since about 60,000.
What else should I have checked/done? And do I need to go to a dealership for this?
I've had my sparkplugs since 40,000 so I'm guessing I'll need to replace those.
Everything else seems to be fine.

I used to know all these things by heart, but haven't had time to keep up with my car hobby.

Might as well check your distributor cap and plug wires while you're at it. Its hard to say what to do since people do things on different intervals.

If I were you I'd get ready to do a major tune up getting all your fluids flushed/replaced, and getting a new timing belt (tensioner, water pump), fuel filter. That is if you can spare the money. Or else wait until 90K and do all of this.

I would do the timing belt and water pump because of your mileage, its best to be safe than sorry, I replaced my TB and WP at 88,000 miles the belt still was in decent condition but you just cant take a chance especially something you cant visually inspect without taking everything apart.

Thanks for the input guys.
I may just do a full tuneup at 90K since it looks like I'll be needing to do it anyways.
Do you guys get your tuneups done at the dealer, or can any shop do it? I've gotten all my tuneups done at the dealerships up until now.

Off-topic... after browsing through this forum, I now officially feel old.
