i was just wondering what kind of wax(es) you guys constantly use? zymol i hear is one of the best....

 

zaino is supposed to be really good.

but mothers or meguiars are good enough for me

I stick to acrylic polymers, only use carnauba as a topper

Sooo, Klasse/Zaino/Blackfire/Platinum (depending on what I have lying around, and what car is going on)

For carnauba, I stick with P21S, Blitz, or Pinnacle Souveran.

 

I'd have to agree with what StyleTeg said. You can't go wrong with zaino/blackfire/klasse as a polymer.

If you dont want to spend a lot of money, I'd recommend Meguiars or Mothers phase systems. Meguiars has the ABC system, whiles Mother's has the pre-cleaner/sealant/carnuba system. For the money, both are very good and give you a good shine.

I'd also recommend getting an random orbital buffer, which makes buffingthe car a lot easier. Get a Porter Cable 7336SP, its the best out on the market. Also, dont get a cheap single speed buffer, it'll do more damage than help.

Lastly, Zymol, cleaner wax, the green stuff, is a decent wax for the price, however I found out that is made and distributed by Turtle Wax to be sold at chain stores. So the Zymol most people buy, isnt like the $7000 wax that gave the company its reputation.

 

The cleaner wax is still made by zymol, they just have a distribution agreement with Turtle Wax because of turtle waxes shelf space all over the country

 

I was using Zymol, but I just switched to Zaino. I think it looks noticeably better. It is kind of hard to put on because you can't really see where you have waxed (and you are supposed to use a small amount). Once it dries (about an hour) it is very easy to take off and it looks amazing. I put two coats on this weekend and snapped some digital pictures. Here is one of them. That p21s stuff is supposed to be unreal.

 

hey guys... wats the difference between sealants and waxes?? Cuz isnt' that klasse stuff a sealant and the mothers/meguiars stuff a wax ??? Wat'll look best? i've used the meguiars and gotten good results u guys?

 

i use mostly meguiars stuff, but im going to try out the Klasse stuff when i get the chance to buy some. ive also used Valuguard products b/c thats what we have where i work (lexus) and its free. that stuff works really well.

 

first i use either mirror glaze 00 wash fluid or zymol wash fluid, then i use meguirs mirror glaze polish and then the mirror glaze yellow wax

mirror glaze ownz :thumbup: the polish/wax is like $10/bottle!
