Default AC problem???

i got a 99 integra ls. it has 51k. it is getting hot here. one day, my ac just stop working. only blow warm air. first i thought i need to recharge it. but later i notice when i turn on the ac, the ac compressor has no respond.(you will feel the rpm change or jump a little bit when you open AC). is my AC compressor broke or i just need recharge it? how can you tell? thanks!

if there is no refrigerant in the A/C system the compressor won't even kick in. I would recharge your A/C see if you have a leak in the system.

Definitely check the recharge. If that doesn't help, check the AC belt and the switch/relay associated with AC.

turn the ac on and pop the hood, look to see it the AC clutch spins when its on. make sure that there to loose wire connection to the AC. if the clutch doesnt spin after inspecting the wires and relays. IT might be that you have a BAD A/c compresor

check the wire that runs to your ac that is next to or around the pulley area. Mine got cut somehow, simply tapped it and works like new.
