Default Alternate Tire Sizes for '96 Special Edition

Hello!

I just purchased a 4-door '96 Integra Special Edition. The stock size tire is 195/55x15. There are somewhat limited choices in tire models in this size. And most of what's available is also very pricey. I was wondering if there are other sizes that work ok on this car.

I was thinking that either 205/50x15; 205/45x15, or 195/50x15 might work well. Anyone have experience with different sizes? Any fitment issues?

Also, if anyone has wheels for this car to sell, please post me either public, private, or at bwoodson99 "at" yahoo.com

Thanks in advance. Any thoughts on common "weak points" for '96's (144k miles on the odometer) also appreciated.

-b.

I have 205/50/15, they fit like a charm. - 95 teg RS hatch

as for the 205/55/15 i have those on my sis's 95 teg Sedan. its fine when your driving yourself, and maybe 1 friend, but when you have 3 or more passengers you really gotta go slow or the tires rub. even taking a hiway exit with 3 ppl makes it rub.

the syspension is stock on both of the rides

What types of tires are you looking for?

There are some tires in the $60-90 range, which is pretty affordable depending on what you need the tires for.

And most people who want a wider footprint go with the 205-50-15.

I had a pair of 205-50-15 Falken Azeni's and I loved them. They outperformed the Kumhos I had in every regard. They are about $300 for the whole set. Pricey but definitely worth the extra cash. I don't know if they would be good for winter driving since I live in Southern California where it never snows. There are better tires out there but the value of the Falkens is very good for the price.

195-55/15 is the stock tire size
a nice size would be 205-50/15 for a meaner look but not too much comfort lost
i have those for my ITR and they feel much better than the stock size

NOT GOOD FOR SNOW! If you want great dry traction, but you live in a snowy climate during the winter. It is best for you to get 2 sets of tires.

205-55-15 will be too tall. If you want a width of 205, the closest height to give to the stock diameter is 50 (205-50-15)...55 is too tall. If you want a 195mm width, stick with 195-55-15.
