Default Just Thought I'd share what came in the mail today...

I finally ordered the Comptech Ice box/ intake kit
the intake arrived to day and just in time for me to install it before i went to work
The install took about an hour and was pretty straight forward
i did run into some clearance issue with the ABS unit
loosened the passenger side brakets and slid the cover right over
the fit and finish was near OEM quality and the butt dyno registers some top end gains and not too bad of bottom end torque loss either
this being a short ram and all
all in all im very satisfied and it looks great in the engine bay
not too bling bling like my old AEM CAI yet has a nice look to it
ill post up some before and after pics as soon as i resize them

Good stuff. How does the sound compare to the AEM CAI?

I need some pics.

Looks so much better than the AEM CAI. No more worrying about hydrolocking, too.

Now you need to change your sig.

im wanting to change my current intake (dcsport short ram) to something else and wanted something that was high quality, aka mugen, etc. jdm intakes are so expensive, so i figure the comptech icebox would be the next best thing, right? let me know how yours is working for ya.

mine is working great
not a single prob as of now
the install was involving but straightfowrad
clearance issue was with the abs lines, but some manuvering and it pops right in
The Comptech ice box seems to have smoothed out my torque curve unlike the spike the AEM had before according to my butt dyno
so my reccomendation..... go for it
