Default another ITR cam question

i have a set of 01 jdm ITR cams. my question deals with the vtec point setup. i know the vtec point is higher on ITR cams, when settin up the vafc2 you have a choice of what vtec type. since im puttin in the ITR cams, is it better to leave the vtec type at the type for my gsr and adjust from there or could i switch the vtec type to Type R since i have the Type r cams?

leave it where it is. If anything you need to re-tune your fuel after putting them in. You could have them kick in from 4500 to 5500, you just need the fuel right.

itr cams usually like the x-over in the 5-6k range. of course, only way to know for sure is on the dyno.

yeah im not gonna be able to afford any dynotime till probably mid summer, so in the meantime i figured i would either set them up on type r vtec or right around 5400 rpm with gsr info stored in the vafc.
