Default grabby and slippy clutch.....

when the temp is cool, first thing in the AM, my 94 gsr clutch is really grabby (stuttering feel if i don't slip the clutch more than usual), but after it warms up, it is no longer grabby, but generally does seem more slippy than usual (mostly when starting from a stop uphill). the shop "burped" the hydraulic system a while ago, and that seemed to help a little bit with the grabby part, but didn't completely fix it. it goes into and out of gear just fine, and i don't notice any other symptoms.

this is the 3rd clutch i have had in this (the original one was really touchy when i bought the car at 36K, it fell apart after 15K and i got it replaced with another factory one, which shot craps in 8k more miles (i do not drive that aggressively), so the dealer replaced that one for free - so i have had this clutch since about 58k and the car now has 135K miles on it.

whenever i drive a newer car, the clutch feels so silky smooth and precise...kinda like mine did right after the clutch was replaced. it is such a gradual change, that it is tough to notice it, but i wanted to know what feedback you all might have for me.

what could be wrong with it?

TIA

i am not so much asking about my driving style - i have never had this problem on any other car i owned....but more about the symptoms, asking if they indicate that i need a new clutch, or if it could be something else.

my 95 accord behaves the same way when cold. i have to play with the clutch a bit so it wont stall. but when the engine has warmed up a bit, the clutch engages smoothly. it's a world of difference when i drive my teg, which engages smoothly...cold or not. but to this day i still dunno what the problem is. any ideas?

Have a 97 that does this same thing...... original clutch with 116k miles on it. This started happening about 30k miles ago. Just like you, the shop burped the clutch. I'm just going to keep driving it until it slips - don't know what causes this.

dunno if this is related at all. i also seem to need to refill my clutch master cylinder quite often...about every couple of months. is this a sign of a worn out clutch that needs to be replaced soon? my 95 ex has about 106k miles on it. i'm not the original owner, so i'm just assuming this is still the original clutch.
