Just make absolutely sure you aren't detonating. That's a good way to ruin a freshly built motor.

hello teg_fan, I ain't normal. In fact. I'm outta my mind. I worked with a machinist to develope my GSR dual runner IM. Have you inspected the old manifold? Did it talk to ya like mine did to me?
My IM said "I yaint gittin much pressure in the runner farthest from the throttle body, and I need alittle more in the initial runner. Can ya git me some air dere?"
So I developed a plan to increase the runner flow on the outside runners, and more flow throughout both runner levels.
TB: machined TB 67mm open 65mm butterfly/ matched to intake chamber.
Intake chamber: Grinded and reshaped all intake chamber openings.
Polished and grinded walls.
Small Top Openings
outside runners were wider on the inside wall to create venturi on
outside wall or provide more air on inner (faster) wall
beauty is I don't care which airflow occurs!! HAHA
middle runners were opened in oval shapes.
Butterflies
widened openings and machined new rack and larger butterflies.
Butterfly runner bowls were grinded out and shaped. Again the
outside runner bowls were shaped towards the inner wall and the
middle bowls were ovalized.
Runners
grinded the inner wall of the outside runners to straighten the flow.
all runners were ground and polished to 120 grit. The openings and
bowls are polished to 600 grit.
Plenum Gaskets
all openings had to get matched from the intake chamber all the
way through to the runners. I used an etching tool to outline grind
lines. I matched the butterfly bypass body to the runner
body. Then turned around and matched the bypass body to the
intake chamber openings. Once the openings were matched I
cut out the 2 plenum gaskets.
HAHAHA. Would I buy a Skunky Type R style IM to use with my B18C1 Cyl Head??? Yes, it is $225 well spent. With your 310cc injectors a Type R style IM is going to provide some "big air".

I gave my project a $600 budget. That's what I was willing to use to obtain the baddest use of the dual runner manifold. I spent $160 for the TB and intake chamber match. I spent $250 for the butterfly armature. I procured a Die grinder and various fittings for another $150. My regular drill went caputsky and I found another for $60. Each day I would grind and shape for 1.5 - 2 hrs. 45 days = 90 hrs?? I looked at it like I could have been fishing or grinding since I worked way out in the parking lot under the "grinding" tree. I have recently ordered some sensor parts, injector seals and TB gasket for around $65. My 310cc injectors are re-man NSX injectors. I got 6 for $101 shipped to me. Oh Well, busted that budget!!!!!!! BRING ON THAT CYLINDER HEAD!!!!!!!!AND TRANNY!!!!!!!!!!!AND BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!! AND INSTALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND EXHAUST!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha.

^ What are you smoking and why aren't you sharing? That is great that you are working with what you have and I admire that. Seems kind of expensive for just an intake manifold though. Even the $225 price tag on the Skunk 2 is still high for my tastes. Good luck and let me know how it turns out because I am really curious now.

hey schmoo, let's see which way teg_fan goes. Maybe he will find a path less rococo yet alluringly utilitarian. HAHA. Good luck to teg_fan!!!!!

I want to try making a sheet metal intake manifold of my own...like the Golden Eagle.
