vtec not vtech....i think vtech is a phone....lol i am just informing u before someone may flame u....i guess ur kinda new same here but just lookin out for fellow people...well i believe vtec is a high compression engine...there for better care is needed...but then better care is always needed to be taken if ur going to modify your car....also if ur debating between the two cars maybe u should take into account how much money u have and what type of engine build you want...i.e. forced induction or naturally aspired and also 1/4 miler or autocross....it's all in your tastes...i hope i had helped you in any way.....

gsr has higher compression also...
i believe that the ls engine has more torque at the lower end though...
displacement is a bit bigger too...

basically...both engines should last you for awhile...both are made by acura...so theyre pretty reliable...
the important thing is how the engine was treated...
b4 u buy any car...have a mechanic there to check it thoroughly...if you can...run a compression check to see if the engine is still in good shape...

imo...get the gsr...but again...like i said in the other post...i dont think that car is worth 7g...ive seen lower...
