I had the AEM CAI for 4 years thru all kinds of weather and not one problem...
Just use your head when in a heavy rain storm.

I sold it hoping to pick up a comptech Ice box intake...

Before I went turbo, I made my own short ram, I just bought a 90 degree aluminum 3" mandrel-L and slapped a big fat K&N on the end of it. No cutting, no welding, and it took about 5 minutes.
