High Idle on 94 teg. cantt pass smog
ok, this one i'm really stumped on. please send me a miracle. I will be detailed as possible. A few days ago i did some work on my car to get a smog. i pulled the performance ecu for a stock swap which turned out to be bad (performance ecu back on). I also pulled the after market intake and put a stock on. Now my engine idles between 2000-3000. i cant figure what the heck to do and i need to get this thing smoged. does anyone have any ideas. also a good smog only place(hint) just in case i cant fix this.
Does it happen when the car is at normal operating temp, or just when it is warming up? Is the CEL on? Have you tried resetting the ECU?

This happens when the car is at normal operating temp. I have reset the ecu and it still happens. actually, after reseting it the last time it now revs high(2.5K) and then low(1K) at constant. When starting, the CEL has one long flash (does this count?) and 10 short flashes. I beleieve this one indicate the Intake Air Temp Sens.. Could a bad IATS cause this problem? or should i look towards other possible problems?
OK- allow me to pull back my last statement. The Check engine light in not on. those flashes are actually on the Maint. Light which i'm sure means nothing. with that said what could be the problem? Thanks.
