yeah I have a 95 teg and had that same problem. The bad thing is though when needed the car clean in a hurry and went through a drive through car wash. Forgot all about the antenna and it bent all up like an accordian. Eventually it broke off, and it's about 4 inches long. I like it better this way though and since I listen to cd's cuz the radio stations suck it's all cool
