Default itr rear sway bar

hey guys I have been reading up on the itr rear sway bar conversion and Im thinking this will be the first mod to my gs-r. Only thing that concerns me is the drilling. does anyone know how hard it is to drill the holes. Im worried that I wont drill them directly in the center or not drill them straight in..... maybe thats just me being a puss about it but i dont wanna eff up anything, comments please

honestly, you should get the Comptech Sway/Tie-bar setup. the tie-bar is designed to reinforce the subframe so you don't get tear-out. its expensive, but the adjustability is great.

here is mine:

no, i mean tear out.

the subframe of the non-ITR integras is different and less beefy than the ITR subframe. Which is why anyone upgrading the swaybar need to buy reinforcement kits because without it, the swaybar will rip out of the subframe.

there's cheaper routes however.

there are reinforcement kits out there by Beaks, and Brett makes them too.

I have the comptech swaybar too. There is no drilling involved whatsoever. It bolts up to the stock subframe in less than 1 hour assuming you can remove the bolts easily. It is really worth the extra money because you don't have to worry about drilling or subframe tearout.

Thats my car. Drilling was not hard at all. If you are comfortable drilling a hole in metal, this is a piece of cake.

The beaks is half the price of a comptech with the reinforcement...So i dont see why I would pay twice as much for the comptech when I can get what I consider to be the same quality and reliability for half the price, beaks wins

uhhhhmmmm... how about cuz you said you weren't all good with drilling holes in your subframe :dunno: F it up and you will wish you had the comptech the 1st time around, it will be a lot more expensive to have your subframe repaired or replaced....
