Default Fuel Problem

I've been doing a lot of work on my battery and electrical system this past week. After I finished I went and tried to start my car, it started but only ran for about 6 secs before sputtering and dying. I have a brand new fuel filter so obviously the fuel pump is not pumping fuel in or something. I checked all the fuses under the console and under the hood, not one is blown. Weird thing is I can start it and it will run for about 6 secs, one time after another. Which means theres a little bit a fuel getting in in the beginning but somehow it's not gettin anymore. Whats goin on?

Can you hear the fuel pump whining when you turn the key to the on position?

Yes I hear it.
You know whats funny, I just went out and started it to move my car in the garage, and the freakin thing didn't die. Now what the heck is wrong with this picture, yesterday it wouldn't run for 5 seconds. Both situations the engine was cold, only difference was today the lights were on.

Very strange. It sounds like it could be a short or open in the ignition wiring. I really don't know but I would check all of the electrical components before even thinking about the fuel because it sounds like it is getting fuel.

Sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere.
