Going to be Joining the Type R Crew
End of March, 2001 Phoenix Yellow, not sure of the number yet, but will find out. 89K on chassis, original owner used to be a regular customer at my Acura dealership. Decided to change his oil one day and forgot to torque the drain plug so all the oil drained out and blew the motor.
Service advisor at my dealership bought it, put a brand new Acura crate B18C5 motor (and clutch) into the car at the tune of $4,000. He bought the car off the customer for $6000 (a freakin steal), has $10K into it and is looking to sell it for $20,000.
Seeing as I've known him for a year now and we're actually pretty good friends he's letting it go for $15,000. :eek4: and is still making $5K profit so everyone makes out well.
Car is absolutely mint, nothing at all wrong with it, brand new Acura OEM Type R mats, fully detailed, etc.
I'm putting a $200 deposit down on it tomorrow so he holds onto it until the end of March when I buy it.
Mom is co-signing for me, I've always paid in full with cash on everything so that's a must. She's holding off because she just bought an '05 CR-V SE 4 days ago, going through a divorce, wants to make sure allimony and her entire financial situation is secure.
Anyway looking forward to the Integra, already am browsing for suspension. I want this thing to handle like there's no tomorrow and do a mild NA build.
Anybody with any suggestions on products, PLEASE help me! First time to the Integra camp.
Thanks.
