oh lord...before others begin to flame you i'll just politely correct you on it being spelled "VTEC" not "v-tech."

as for your question: its all relative to what your plans are for the car.

CAI = denser, cooler air; however, the long tubing makes it difficult to reach optimum atomization of fuel

SRI (short ram air) = hot engine air; however, the shorter tubing allows for better throttle response

stock = eh; but can be modified to perform better.

Better than what, stock.

-I really like the Comptech ice box design and will soon purchase this for my Integra. I personally don't like audible intakes and bling bling polished tubes. For the time being you could uninstall the intake resonator. If your planning on ugrading the stock intake then save yourself some time and rip that POS out.

V-tech sucks! :chuckles:

:werd: Don't just slap parts on your car and call it a day. You should know how much power you want to make and how you want to get there before you start.

I was told that stock air intake on a GS-R would maintain a steady level of torque unlike aftermarket CAI or a regular short ram. When you start modifying intake make sure you are using it for the correct application. Intakes usually increase your top end power but, you'll lose some of your torque. I would just go with a K&N Filter.

The stock air box is fine. An intake won't add much to your setup except noise and unwanted attention.
