So the insurance guy came out yesterday to do an estimate on my car, and it only came out to be only $1380
That includes
Replacing hood and front left fender
Painting hood, fender, and front fascia

Does that seem low to anyone else? I think I'm going to take it to a local shop and have them do an estimate. I've done MUCH less damage to other cars and have it cost significantly more than that.

scratch the front bumper up a little bit more and tell them that you dont want it painted, you want it brand new. my friend did that on his hood with the help of one of the people who detail cars at work. he got a new CF hood out of it, instead of having them fix the dent and repainting the stock hood.

I tried that already. That bumper is stronger than it looks. Besides, the insurance guy took video of the damage, so it's too late for that. And I'm already planning on taking the money and getting a CF hood.
