Default dc ceramic headers

ok i just read the what do you regret post and people are talkin about the dc header 4-2-1 breaking is this with all ceramic dc headers or just the 4-2-1 or is it with all dc headres period including the ss please give me some type of answer so that i can figure some things out

from what i heard, its just the ceramic coated ones. the stainless steel ones are said to last forever. ive had my dc 4-2-1 cc header for over two years, and its still good. i think people said they would last for about 5 years at the most. i got the header for free so no biggie here.

mines doing ok, but i have scraps on the bottom. had it for about 2 years.

You guys recommend a 1 or 2 piece header....

I'm definatly going 4-2-1.

most likely..with a good header...u should gain some torque on the lower end...
421 is said to be good for the streets...
we had a couple of dyno graphs b4...but i think theyre lost after the crash...

I would go for a 1-piece. One less place for a leak to develop.

I installed a 2-piece, and I actually had more trouble installing it one piece at a time than all together. (had to redo it to replace the gaskets).

I say the 2pc because it's alot easier to install and I doubt it has any noticeable air distruption. I currently have the DC 2 piece ceramic 4-2-1. I felt a gain in tq where it counts, midrange. (for me)
