I have a stock 94 Ls 4dr, stock rims, and everytime i try to brake really hard and turn hard into a corner the tire rubs the wheelwell, i dont think thats supposed to happen and its pissing me off. Is there something wrong with the suspension or something? Does anyone have a clue as to whats going on??

 

your shocks may be blown and causing your car dip while braking or turning more than it should be. also, check your wheel well if anything has come loose.

 

I dont think the shocks are blown the car is in very good condition serviced regularly, but i looked in the wheelwell and theres like this strip of plastic running from one end to the other, right over the wheel i think the tire is rubbing that thing, anyone know what that is??

 

thats the inner fender. it protects the engine bay? you can check if that is rubbing by just looking at it...it would have scuff marks if it was.

my car did that, but my susp isnt stock.

your susp is 100% stock?

 

I have koni yellows with sportlines (1.75" drop) and my tires would sometimes rub the wheel well when I would hit a large pot hole or bump. There are 12 screws holding the inner wheel well plastic cover, make sure they are all secured so that your wheel well isn't bobbing out hitting your tire.

Aisde from that, what is the tire size you are using (height?)

 

Im running stock suspension and stock tires 15 inches i think, i checked and all the bolts are tight and the plastic is not moving.

 

it sounds like blown shocks to me. does your car bounce a lot?

 

No not at all.

 

I can't help you anymore, maybe it has something to do with the boot or your bushings, but I'm out of league.

 

Try stiffening up your shock a little bit.
How much gap do you have on each corner?
