Default Question about Type R vs. GSR

What are the differences between the GSR and the Type R? Like weight differences, option differences, sound deadening differnences, etc... Thanks.

GSR has moonroof, smaller brakes, 4-lug, smaller wing, 15" wheels... Not sure about the rest, but try this:

Some of the lightweight differences are internally like the valves, valve springs, rocker arms and so forth!

ya the type r has bigger cams, better valvetrain, i think it has a higher compression ratio, so different pistons prolly. it has a shorter tranny, which accounts for most of the difference in speed. bigger spoiler....is there anything else?

TypeR has an LSD, close ratio transmission, weighs about 100 pounds lighter. Much more aggressive suspension including strut bar in front and rear. They actually reinforce the chassis from factory. Larger brakes. 11.1 inch fronts vs 10.3 and 10.2 rears vs 9.4 for the gsr. Enough braking power to make your eyes bleed. And the motor 195hp vs 170hp. Larger throttle body, better valve train more aggressive cams etc.... Higher compression ration 10.6:1 vs 10.0:1 including a mind numbing redline that goes all the way until your 9000rpm rev limiter. There is no feeling quite like this car. The driving experience is just unequaled.
