Default Charcoal Canister Problems

I previously posted this in the tech tuning forum but did not get a reply so im posting here
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 1998 integra rs. Lately the check engine light has been coming on. I took it to auto zone and they said i had a problem with my charcoal canister. So i took a look at it. And it turns out that the wires for the canister have been severed. So pops and i decided to sauder the wires. I took it back to auto zone and had the check engine light turned off, but it came back on and it is the same problem. Anyone hve any ideas on how to go about fixing this??

Check the wiring over again. When you solder, make sure you get a good connection, the correct wires are attached to each other, and make sure to cover the newly soldered portions with shrink tubing or some electrical tape. You can reset your ECU by yourself...open your hood and go to the fuse box by the battery...pull the 7.5A Backup Fuse for about 60 seconds...pop it back in.
