Default Integra Vs. Civic

I am thinking of switching from a 94 Civic EX 5Speed coupe to a third generation Integra LS sedan or hatch for a more solid ride. I haven't been able to find any good ones (i.e. 5 speed and in good shape) for sale lately. I was wondering if the Integra really felt more substantial than the civic. I have intake, headers and exhaust on mine and it's quick enough for me, but the seats are torture and the ride is nowheres as solid feeling as it was in my 93 Accord. I like the way it looks, but it feels like I am driving a Geo Metro sometimes. Would an Integra help bring me back to a solid ride that still can get out of its own way and be fun to drive?

It is kind of a personal preference. This forum is the Integra forum, so I assume everything you hear here will be biased toward the Integra. I would test drive one at a local dealership if I were you to determine whether or not you like them over your current car. I personally think it would be an upgrade since it will ride better and have more luxuries that the civic doesn't have.

Thanks. How do they compare performancewise? Would my Civic EX with bolt-ons perform similarly to a stock ls setup or would the Teg still pull harder and faster? I assume (and have read) that the GSR is much faster, but I haven't read anything comparing the LS to the Civic.

LS will beat any SOHC Civic, this includes all trim levels except the Si.

Unless it's a B18A1 LS, the Civic will never have a chance.

Yeah, A1 is the 90-93 LS engine. And then, only a Civic EX/VTEC 5MT will give you trouble.

i have a 96 gs-r. I have driven a 95 ex sedan. The difference is night and day.
So, just go out and drive one for yourself and choose wisely.

i had a civic, but the power and torque that the LS has puts the civic to shame. stock for stock the teg can out perform any civic in the speed catagory. but my civic did handle better than my teg does now, thats because i had some other goodies :rick:
