are u talking about the one that sits on top of the stock cassette deck? it's just a plain black face with an "eject" button.

It's been so long since I remember my stock unit, cause, well, I got rid of it so quickly....

But, it was just a black box that went into the 2nd din and it had an eject button.
Really lame.
It skipped a lot.

In stock form, the '96 GSR came with a double-DIN opening with a AM/FM CD player filling one slot and a tray filling the other slot. If you chose the optional CD player, it was a separate DIN unti that took the place of the tray and simply had a cable that hooked into the CD-CHanger connection on the back of the stock head-unit.

The unit itself is very simple with a large round eject button and a slot with two small leds on each side of the slot to assist night use. The plastic around the slot has a slight contour breaking up all of the blank space on the face.

The '96 did not have the CD player and radio in one unit. The guy must be trying to sell you the '97+ CD player which should still work but will be more of a pain to install.
