Default weird whistling noise?

sup guys, i installed my spoon 9lb flywheel and exedy stage 1 clutch yesterday, didnt really complete the small stuff like tightening my cat convter bolts to my exhaust all the way because my time limit i had in school periods. so i drove it home. and when i drove it when i got up to 3k+ i heard a weird whislting noise that got louder, is it the lightened flywheel? thanks

well it could be the throw out bearing making noise, maybe not enough grease or to much and it cause it to harden

That is what I am thinking. Did you replace it or reuse the old one?

Does it only happen at light throttle? My CAI used to whistle at light throttle. It could be an exhaust leak, although it doesn't really sound like a whistle. I don't think the throwout bearing would whistle either. I have a lightweight flywheel, and mine didn't cause a whistling sound...neither did my bad throwout bearing.

yea the one step i forgot to do was use lithium grease on my throwout bearing.. did my shaft but not my bearing. well on my exhaust i only have 1 sprung bolt from the header to the cat and 2 of the 3 on the cat. to the exhaust. and they are only hand tightened, no tools at home!

You need all of the exhaust bolts. Both sprung bolts, and the 3 from the cat to the exhaust. I hope you made sure that the gaskets were still there.

I thought a bad throwout bearing would have a clicking sound. My clutch used to have a clicking sound... It's on and off now.

well i also have a light flywheel (spoon) and i did not put any grease and it started to make noise like a whistle sound and when i put grease it was fine what it is, is that the bearing is rubbing on the teeth of the pressure plate
