91 GS Noise
I'm having trouble pinpointing a noise on my 91 GS, and was hoping maybe someone has run into this before...
Of course, it only makes the noise while moving in drive (making it just a tad difficult to open the hood and catch it), and seems to start every time the gas is pushed. It lasts for maybe 5-10 seconds and sounds like a combination between a click and a screetch like worn bearings or a slipping belt. The noise is horribly loud (to the point where anyone within 200 feet will turn and look), and is sometimes accompanied by a chirping sound similar to that of a motorcycle cop siren.
I thought for sure it was a belt or pulley at first, but everything looks fine. The weird thing is it's coming from the passenger side up towards the very front of the engine compartment, but I can't find a single thing loose or wrong down there. I tried unplugging both of the electric fans, and the noise was still there.
If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
