Hey all, new to H-A.net and hoping to see if you guys can help me out. I've got a 90 RS 3-door, and when the car was new, it did not have an antenna. This car belonged to my aunt when new, but I took it over in 2000. Long story short, she put one of those ugly universal black flexible antennas in the car. Despite the fact it works well, can I get a power antenna from say, an LS or GS and mount that in my RS?

In other words, does my car have the necessary wiring and mounting to support a stock power antenna?

I find that really hard to believe.Yes, it should all be there.

 

Actually, the car didn't come with a radio, nor speakers. The speaker mounts for the rear deck are human-fabricated using a hobby knife? or something. It's not pretty, that's for sure. Also, how would I go about installing the antenna? Remove the trunk panels?

 

Is the body hole there of the antenna?

It sounds to me like a dealer hack-job if it didn't come with a radio. All G2's came from the factory with radios. All the bolt holes and wiring should be there behind the trunk panels for a power antenna.

Search for a junk car to pull all the parts from.
