Default changin axle

im tryin to replace the axle on my ls and i noticed two things. first, im missing two screws for the rotor, where can i get some, and second, the bolt wont come off for the axle. me and a friend think a portion of it is welded in cuz the impact gun and breaker bar isnt budgin it and it looks like nothing but metal there. also is it a bad sign when tryin to remove that bolt that a 180lb man and a 170lb can stand on it and it just holds us in the air?

Means your rotors need to be replaced, Dont think that has anything to do with the bolt not coming out

They stake the axle nut from the factory. See if you can push the stake out with a chisel or something to make the nut round again. This helps to get it off. About the rotor screws, they are kind of pointless and when replacing the rotors, can be a total bitch, but you can pick up a few at the dealer for about $.80 a piece.

The rotor only uses 2 screws I believe anyways...you don't need 4.

As for getting the axle nut off, I used a 1/2" breaker bar...then slipped the hydraulic jack handle over the breaker bar...so it was about 4 feet long. That's enough torque to get it off.

It is only two screws. There are 4 holes in the rotor but only 2 in the hub.

i appreciate the responses...and an update on it we finished the driver side after 2-3hrs...after an 1hr 30 mins of chiseling and thinking  my next door neighbor (who just barely moved here from vietnam 3-4 months ago) came and help us after watching...he brought out one of those things that you drill in the wood to make a round hole (its like a chisel but in the middle it has a sharp point...i saw it at the store also and had a feeling i should of bought that instead of the chisels ) and in about a minute he shamed us and gets a good space and loosens the nut h:

tomorrow imma hit up the passenger side looks much easier then driver side
