Default Help

Okay, my teg was fine earlier, it is my daily driver, for work and what not. But, since i got home, i came in to my house and did my thing, went out to my car to take a cruise, and wham.. no power. I turn it, and everything comes on, beeping happens, BUT .. when I go to start it, it cuts down as if it has no battery power.. I need this fixed before tomorrow morning, any ideas ?

When was the last time you put a new battery in it? Sure sounds like the battery is on it's way out. The clicking is the starter relay opening and closing quickly. The battery is strong enough to close the relay, but then the starter pulls the battery down very quickly to the point that it can't hold the relay closed and the relay opens back up. Then with the starter off line the battery once again has the power to close the relay and the cycle starts over.

I tried to jump my battery, And it did the same thing, lights and beeping came on, but when i turn it, clicking.. like tktktktktkttktktktktktktktktk.. everytime.. if indeed it is the battery, i guess it was too dead to be jumped ?.. the past 2 - 3 days it has been starting a little slower than usual, instead of the tk tk START, it was more of a tk tk tk tk tk START..

If it was the battery, then jumping it would have worked. Look for dirty/loose/corroded battery cables. Especially the other ends, including the big fat ground cables.

Check the line to your starter. Same thing happend to me, theres a little boot covered wire going into the top of the starter. Make sure its making good contact.
