Default '93 LS Drive Axle Problem

I've replaced both axles and now have a major shimmy/vibration which starts at about 10 mph. The old axles had a weight ring on the driver side axles, but now the new ones have it on the passenger side. The NAPA rep. said to cut the ring off and move it to the other side. I don't think it's possible. Can anyone help?

Is it a weight ring, or a toothed gear you are talking about? Axles for ABS cars have a toothed gear. I've never heard of a problem with Napa/Autozone axles before. Are you positive they are correctly installed?
