Default Quick Questions

Ok, I finally got a second car to use as a daily driver and kept the R in the garage, protecting the garage floor from dust. So my daily ride now, and for the past 2 months is a 89 V6 5spd 4WD Toyota Truck (It's gonna get lifted and get bigger tires), which should last forever and not attract tickets as much as the R. I have three separate questions:

1. I use to do an oil change and tire rotation (car lowered 1.75in and there front and rear with Camber kits) every 2,500 miles at the dealer, but now since I drive the bucket (the truck) everywhere and rarely drive the R, my guess only will be driving it under 2,000 miles a year from now on, how often should I change the oil? Can I go longer than three months, say 4,5, or even 6 months?
2. My plan with the R is to drive it or at least start it and get it up to normal operating temperature once a week. Is this enough to keep the car from sitting too long?
3. Final question is before my last oil change the car was driven rarely (once a week) because I got the truck the V-tec wasn’t kicking in until 7,500 rpm or higher and the oil light started flashing. So I checked my oil and it was low so I added a quart of 10-30 Castrol (what I normally use and the dealer puts in 4 qts). My car is a 2000, has about 67K miles on it, and I do drive it hard for a daily driver. Can R’s burn oil being used as a daily driver that is driven hard(high revs typically in the 5-7K RPM)? The service person at Acura said they can burn a qt every 1K miles, is this possible? I thinking about adding half a quart every couple months and doing an oil change every 5-6 months, any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance for you comments and info.

I've heard it's better to drive the car around the block once or twice because it will keep you from getting flat spots. Starting it once a week is fine for the engine, but I think I would drive it around a little too.

With the oil I would just check it and see where it's at when it's been sitting for a while instead of doing a certain amount a week.
I think they can burn that much oil especially at high rpm's even though it was meant to be driven that way.

I'm not an owner but I hope to be one someday...

Thanks bluetwo for your comments.

Anythoughts on how often I should get an oil change on a rarely driven car (3,4,5 months)?

I'll probably start it once a week just to get the parts moving with oil and in addition drive it around and get it up to normal operating temprature.

With the oil I think I was trying to say I would check it every few weeks (2 to 3) and add half a quart if necessary. I'm hoping others with chime in about burning oil thing.

Any others with opinions or comments.

The car is great but it can be a hassle sometimes with Highway Patrol, people always trying to race you, door dings/dents/key marks, and premium gas. After getting the truck and not driving the R as much I enjoy it more when I do drive the R, I guess I appreciate it more now.
