I know this isn't for an integra, but I have one, so please help me anyway...My boyfriend has a '94 mazda protege. It overheats if you drive it more than a 1/2 a mile and have to slow down. We checked it the next day and there was about a bottle of coolant on the ground and the leak seemed as if it were coming from the water pump, so 6 hours later (the car is really small and lots of hard to reach places, plus about 6 years of a bad oil leak made it really rough) the pump is replaced...test drive it and 1/2 a mile down the road it begins to overheat again. Any ideas? Do you think it is the thermostat?
Check for air in the lines. This can speed overheating and do check the thermostat. If you don't know how, just replace it...it's not expensive for what's going on to the car.
Well the only thing replacing the water pump that hurt was a lighter wallet. Usually when the water pump takes a shit you hear a nasty metallic grinding noise.
