I recently crashed my 89 Acura integra. This has a D16A1 engine in it. Im being offered a 93 integra which i think carries a B18. I would like to know if the D16 engine would fit in the 93 integra since im only gettin the body no engine nor tranny. Maybe somone could help. Thanks.

Yeah I think you could make it work. I don't know that I've ever heard of anyone doing this exactly but it would be interesting to follow this as it goes.

No. The wiring is wrong, the axles are too short, the mount points are different, etc. It would take more money to make that engine work then to find a new B18A to bolt in.

 

also, you can't technically put a older engine in a newer car because it violates most state emmisions codes. some places check, others don't.

 

Even if you could get it in, it would be so incredibly underpowered that you would have smacked yourself for not just finding a B-series to put in there instead.

 

personally if i wanted to buy an integra then i would buy one with an engine :thinking:
