Default how do i take engine checklight off after turbo

i hooked up turbo and i still got the engine checklight.. i heard getting a map sensor will take that out? but what is a map sensor... will an exhaust really make my turbo runnning better... befor it was a 2.25 inch piping... with stock axle back( muffler ) im waiting for my thermal 3 inch turbo bak to come ...i hope this will make a diffrence... and will the BOV make a diffrence also... im waiting on the steel flange to come so i can weld it on .... with a stock gsr with GREDDy turbo kit with GREddy intercooler... it suposly said im doing 270 WHP at the greddy 7.5 preset boost... is it really tru? i dont really feeel like i have that much... or its just my car isnt tuned... its running a bit wierd... with the turbo back how much am i prolly gonna gain.. ? sorrie so many questions but this is a forumright? hahhah

It sounds like you have a sweet set up.
Where are you from.
I think if you had your location in your user profile, people might be more willing to holla back at you.
The tuning process in a NA engine turned Turbo isn't something most people can easily predict. I certainly can't, but I hope someone who knows more speaks up soon.

The check engine light shouldn't come on if you installed the blue box correctly. I have a very similar setup with the greddy kit and I have no check engine light. Make sure the splices are correct at the ECU. That is usually the cause of it.

And for HP, you should probably be running about 215whp untuned. I am getting an E-manage so I can tune because the blue box blows ass. I run so rich that smoke comes out of my tailpipe.

You should have gotten the aluminum flange for the BOV. I don't think you can weld steel to aluminum very easily....

PM me if you need some more help with this kit since I installed everything on mine myself.

i have the greddy turbo kit, greddy intercooler, greddy type s BOV, greddy evo exhaust, and greddy turbo timer. (i like greddy). well with all that installed with the "blue box" (untunable), my car put down 216whp on a mustang dyno, which gives true hp.

if your check engine light is on, you must've installed the blue box wrong.

the greddy kit runs really rich and i even have a flat spot in mine around 6k where it just boggs down. but next week it will be tuned with uberdata and rc 550's and the shop tuning it said i will have about 275 or so WHP.

shmoo, if you are running the e-manage, you will need to get a FPR to raise the fuel pressure, incase you didn't already know.

Yes, it will spool faster with a higher pressure differential between sides of the turbine.

You're not running a BOV? That's a safety device, not a go-fast toy. It saves the turbo from damage when the throttle is closed by releasing pressurized air, preventing compressor surge.

I didn't know that. Is that totally necessary? Have you heard anything about the e-manage because I just put $400 down for it?
